WOW
What a mess at bullfrog/halls.
This is a clear illustration of what happens with exclusive contracts - free market with competition would not allow this, the losers would be allowed to lose and the winners would lift and win.
It is sad that anything connected to NPS or Aramark has instant predictable emotion of misses and failure. I have zero confidence that any of this will be complete by end of season let alone by memorial.
No commitment on water and electric and a high possibility of not being able to stay on your boat due to blasting. Hmmmm - get a leader not a manager in there to create a dated action list and a results list starting with blasting. Managers are good at making excuse lists - Aramark and NPS have managers not leaders.
The client expectation and goal is 100% completion by Memorial Day, not June 15 with a lazy extension to August.
If this issue was managed by Maverick the paint would be dry 1 week early and the bushes would be ready for a trim on opening day.
Folks, i would set your expectation to zero, be prepared for absolute failure across all levels, that way if there is any progress it will be a bonus and not a negative impact. Relying on Aramark for transport will have people lined up waiting for broken equipment to get fixed or drivers to show up or the gas pump to get refueled.
With a protected exclusive agreement there is zero motivation to succeed. Stack this with minimum wage employees who are not appreciated and the pattern won’t disappoint.
The wrong signs on all the camps sites clarifies the ability of the team in play - they do not care…
Aramark will be focused on their profit centers and that is it. The rental dock will probably be functional. They will probably have a rental boat tied off for restrooms…
Exit option is probably the only solution you control at Powell for a long time.
Today will look like 1983 compared to next year by end of August.
Good luck.
