My new dock neighbor showed up with this boat that he bought through Allibabba. He sent money to China and he told me that in two months a bunch of parts showed up and that his son put it all together. He said his son had a great time doing it and learned a lot in the process and that they all enjoyed the project. To me it's a copy of a Premier Pontoon Boats design that I've admired for its innovative fiberglass integrated bathroom, wet bar and stairs design.

Premier just really packed it in all in there well in their design and even found space for a slide. The bad news is that to get one of the Premier boats home with upgrades, taxes and delivery fees it will cost you $350,000 if you can get one. My neighbor says he paid a fraction of that for the bare boat and put it all together with a pair of gently used Suzuki 300's he got out of Florida. I think there is a lot of potential in what I've heard called Pontoon Super-Boat designs like this for Powell. He says it can haul a dozen people in comfort and cruse near 40 mph while gliding over the crud in the straights. Interesting project boat you can get started on from a kit, you just have to have the courage to send 70k to China and wait and hope that something shows up in return.

I've never been on a pontoon boat, and never really considered getting one.

But that's pretty cool with the bathroom, sink and (I assume) refrigerator.
