I am headed that way this morning to go rescue both trucks. I'll take some pictures and some drone footage to show the road conditions and share them later on (probably tomorrow morning).

According to my GPS, we were still 100' higher in elevation than what the current water level is at.

I ran across a couple of guys on the trail that were hauling a boat. They already talked to the guys that were stuck and decided to not risk the launch.

Unless you want to try and do some sketchy off - roading, I never seen the waters edge. One guarantee, If you follow the road into the wash where we were, you won't get out by one vehicle only.

These guys are very familiar with Blue Notch and still got fooled by the surface lies. If you do decide to try it, be prepared for the worse.

I guess that's what they mean when they say "Launch at your own risk". haha

Talked to my step son this evening after he was on dry land and eventually had cell phone service. He had nothing but the utmost respect for Dave. His words "he is truly a good person not because he got me out of a situation that I got myself into" He is a great person, he went above and beyond. Dave is the real deal. Thank you Dave.

Awesome of Dave L to get those guys unstuck. Learned the hard way once up in Canada about what part of a "wild" road you can trust and what you can't for a firm surface. I was forever grateful for my own fortuitous rescue. Thank goodness for the heroes of this world.

You guys are very welcome. That was quite the situation they were in and what really got them out in such a short time was the teamwork all of us did together. I wasn't the only one that worked at getting them out. What a great bunch of guys. Their spirits were up and that always makes the situation better. Considering they were stuck for 2 days........

Yes, they were at the end of the Blue Notch. That is such a pretty drive.
