Up on top of the hill behind Dangling Rope the area is covered with sheep tacks in the sandy spots.

Last week I saw a small herd of 7 and got a poor picture of a Ram that looked like your guy. He was following a female sheep pretty close and they were off a ways from the rest of the Herd. It was just before Dangling Rope on the left going towards Page on the main channel.

We saw a real nice tall and wide 3x3 buck Mule deer at the mouth of the San Juan last week and a wild horse in Cha.
I saw the same guy with 4 doe I think. On the right side in a large clearing on the way out of the river. Maybe 1/4 mile from main channel.

we saw those four does a short distance from the mouth of The San Juan up river in the main channel and figured he would be meeting up with them soon.

Sat. 10-26 we were fishing the back of Dangling Rope when we heard a gunshot ? as we rounded a corner there were 2 Rams going at it!
we watched this for 30 minutes or so , and got some great footage from our phones. talk about Nat. Geo. live it was amazing. when I figure out how to upload to U tube will post.
B.T.W. fishing was very good, on and off at times. never seen bass so healthy. spitting up a lot of Shad, had been eating Crawdads also.

Pictures are a bit rough (iPhone XR full zoom) but from our canoe we spotted about 9 sheep in this herd earlier in the week back in Wetherill Canyon Wednesday 2/19/20.

They spooked pretty easily (understandable and a good thing) so we chose not to get much closer.
