I troll mainly deep divers. I almost always go to Goodhope and above. We were down there in mid November in a white boat and saw you but didn't stop to chat. I wish I had. I guess we were too busy catching. We also got into a mega-school of stripers in front of Ticaboo canyon in November. When we were done we had 55 in the boat. Thanks for the info. Regards, Larry

Yup will do ! Also I just prefer processing the smaller ones this time of year to save my hands in the cold evenings lol
My wife prefers the smaller Tiger trout for smoking and to eat. But I keep telling her no one goes to the lake to catch the small ones😁. But you would be disappointed in the north, I was only getting a smaller 1.5 to 2 lb fish every 10 to 12 fish. Most of them are 3 to 4.3 and an occasional 5.3 were the biggest I weighed. I'm very happy with any size of Shad fed Striper, but I process them all and can't tell any difference in any of them, fried in a fine ground white Ky cornmeal😊

With that kind of luck Trent, you may get a 38 lb Striper down there, I know they are there, and bigger. It never hurts to have luck and skill on your side :)
Listen to this. We got home and I went “well I better buy a lottery ticket”. Well I didn’t. I never do! But my dad does from time to time. Well on Tuesday the news comes out that an $800,000 ticket was sold at the local grocery store. I hurried and called my dad….it wasn’t him. But for a second I really thought “we” mad the most of our lucky streak 😂

Wish it would of been your dads ticket, or yours👍

I filleted 150ish in November so I am coming just to fish so I will welcome the big ones as I am not taking any home this time. I remember my January trip in 2021 the fish were big like this as well ! My right hand hurt so bad after that trip ! We did not have to go very far that trip either but lake had a bit more water in it...

I just noticed the pictures, when you said double and triples you meant on the same umbrella rig!!! I just thought you were talking about 2 or 3 poles getting fish on while reeling one in. I've had doubles on umbrella rigs a few times, but that's impressive. Great job and report.

We just got off the Lake this evening following 3 very cool but great fishing days. We ended up with 90 total fish for the trip, which included 75 stripers. We caught some really nice 2lb+ smallies, several largemouth, and 1crappie. We were mainly trolling deep divers at 3.0 to 3.3 mph. Whenever we saw stripers underneath us we stopped, and caught many on jigging spoons. All the stripers were fat and averaged 3 lbs

Where was you fishing, and did you get your steering problem fixed? What were water temps?
Thanks
