Its Not bad Ryan, when I see Micbarca in his kayak down there, I will see the faint of heart, and be very glad I'm in my tillerJanuary tent camping, and running 30 miles in a tiller are not for the faint of heart. I’m glad there are folks that do it, but I don’t like fishing that much.
We were trolling mostly XD’s and going the same as kevin for speed. Greg trolled an umbrella for a while and we stayed the same speed most of the trip, 3 to 4 mph.

My wife prefers the smaller Tiger trout for smoking and to eat. But I keep telling her no one goes to the lake to catch the small ones
. But you would be disappointed in the north, I was only getting a smaller 1.5 to 2 lb fish every 10 to 12 fish. Most of them are 3 to 4.3 and an occasional 5.3 were the biggest I weighed. I'm very happy with any size of Shad fed Striper, but I process them all and can't tell any difference in any of them, fried in a fine ground white Ky cornmeal

I filleted 150ish in November so I am coming just to fish so I will welcome the big ones as I am not taking any home this time. I remember my January trip in 2021 the fish were big like this as well ! My right hand hurt so bad after that trip !
