Winter Stripers😊

I used spoons that Howard Oatman made with a single hook, and it worked just fine, but they were swallowing it that day on those islands. Its what ever your use to using. I troll the Umbrella rigs and never use a treble on them. The big reason I don't use trebles, is singles are quicker to get out of the fish or net, and you can get after the next one 🤣

These are the best I've found for spoons at powell, smash the barb and you can unhook a striper in no time. In the heat of the summer we often don't even lift the fish out of the water. With the open eye, you can swap them on super quick. Added bonus when someone in the boat gets stuck, it's just as easy coming out of flesh! I've tried them on numerous topwaters, the hook-up ratio goes waaay down, but if they are boiling you get 8 or 9 hits before you have to reel a fish in :)

How do you switch them out really quick? You mean you leave them in the fish and take them out later?
