Fished the mouth of West Canyon by myself. SMB and LMB were spawning in shallow water less than 10 feet. Surface temp was 65°F.
Overall, caught 12 fish total consisting of 1 LMB, 8 SMB, and 3 SB. All 3 stripers were skinny, killed, and recycled.
Used a 3" single tail grub on 1/8 ounce jig head, color was smoke with silver flake. Line was clear florocarbon in 8 pound test.
Checked for striper schools along the south wall adjacent to buoy 25. Ran the sonar along the whole length of the wall and no stripers were there.
