Weekend fishing trip to Knowles 3/6-3/7

The wife and I camped in Knowles canyon for the weekend. We fished Knowles and cedar canyon mostly. The fishing was pretty dang slow we trolled with bottom bouncers and a nightcrawler for a large amount of our time trying to pick up on some walleyes with no luck (my wife's favorite fish). We hit the shore with some lipless cranks, jerkbaits, and swimbaits and found moderate success. We ended up catching a few largemouth and that was it for the trip. Painfully slow fishing but the weather and views were great so we were not complaining.

Thanks for the report, wish the fishing would have been better for you but any trip to Powell beats work! Nice LM too.

Well bummer on the fishing. I am headed this weekend and hope to hear some success stories but all has seemed slow. What was water temps in the canyons ?

The water was around 49 in the morning and would warm up to about 54 by late afternoon. Both fish were caught in late afternoon around 4.
