Sorry everyone, the water databases are down and I am not sure why. I am on hold with the hosting company as I type. Last time, I had access via the behind-the-scenes tools I have but today I cannot access anything...

I see that the releases from Navajo dropped 3000 cfs today, Colorado and Green still flowing strong.

Just talked to a customer who is based out of Ridgeway, CO and he informed me that above 9000 feet, there is still a lot of snow. My guess is that when someone that lives in the mountains and they say there is still a lot of snow, I'm not going to question his judgement seeing that I'm a desert mouse. What I call a lot of snow here is his description of a dusting. haha

Oh I believe it! Even now if you look at the UC Snowcams site (http://webcams.water-data.com/uc_snowcams), Vail still has a bunch of snow. And given we may still see 20 more feet of water in Powell, the back country must be filled with snow! Just hoping 2020 is another good year...

Coming back to Durango from Grand Junction last Friday, Ridgeway was low.

He did say it was pretty close to full but they are also dumping water in preparation for the expected run off that still expected to come. That is probably why the water data says it is 80%. They are lowering the water right now.

Considering that it is the 4th largest reservoir on the Gunnison drainage, that's a little more than a mud puddle. Obviously you never boated or fished on Crawford reservoir.

You are correct, Crawford is a smaller mud puddle than Ridgway. But my point was, with the amount of snow this year, Ridgway could be at full pool in a blink of an eye compared to other reservoirs in the drainage.

P.S. I live below Ridgway reservoir about 15 minutes and also, I have been fishing and boating on Crawford for over 25 years.
