Wahweep Bouy field

I am tired of the dock life and thinking of moving our Housebaot to the Wahweep Bouy’s

Wondering what others think about it out there.

We have solar for basic power. I have my Axopar in a slip at Wahweep and we would get a rib for easy back and forth for guests.

For me the noise and dirty water in the slips makes it not as nice. And I can’t play any music or enjoy myself in the slip. So the Bouy seems like a good idea

We have chartered boats in the BVI and stayed on bouys and loved it. Lots of space, quiet, and clean water.

What am I missing? I assume it’s rough in the day when busy but my guess is the mornings and nights would be pretty chill. And our boat is larger and not affected by boat wakes like smaller boats. We get rocked around at APM in the day now so it can’t be a ton worse.

Maybe you could move to a better slip location? We have had our boat break free of the buoy, Aramark cleat broke, and did a lot of damage. I would double check on the insurance and how hard it is to get a slip if you don't like the buoy and want to move back. There was also a waiting list for slips at Wahwep last year, not sure of 2024.
