Wahweap Thief

We had a great week Monday through Thursday. We parked the houseboat near the sand hill in Wahweap. The fishing was poor but the weather was mostly excellent.

I was pretty disappointed to come back to the the parking lot to discover the trailer hitch had been stolen off our tow vehicle. Kind of a bummer end to an otherwise great trip. This happened in the dirt parking lot at Wahweap. You can’t be too careful out there, I guess. Lesson learned. Get a lock on there and save the hassle.

I’ve had one too many stolen off my trucks. Now they’re all locked in place.

I had mine stolen from the APM parking lot last year. I heard they have cameras for security but they had no interest in looking into it when I reported it. Granted I don't know when it happened over a 7 day period, so the effort to fine a $100 hitch likely not worth it.

Agree not a good way to end a trip.

There is not much worse than a thief.

I have hitch locks for any hitch that is left in the vehicle. Having yours walk away could make for a difficult trip home.
