Update on water release from FG

Well it is looking like they are going to basically drain the FG, Blue Mesa, and Navajo. We were just contacted by our marina at Cedar Springs and it looks like they will be open part of the year. The big points were that the BOR is taking 1,000,000 acre feet this year with no water recoup plan. Then next year if the drought persist they will pull another 1,000,000 acre feet. Then at that point they will just let the water pass through, with no recoup plan.

It is also looking like the boat ramps at fire hole, antelope flats, buck board, and sheep creek will be done around August.

We usually have an annual trip to Flaming Gorge booked already, but not this year. We like to go in late July. At least our trip to Powell is still a go. We leave in a couple of weeks. I'm glad our houseboat is in Page and not Bullfrog. I feel sorry for you North ender's. I hate to think our houseboat trip days are coming to an end. Reality can be a real bitch.

Where are you seeing that about Blue Mesa and Navajo?
The BOR apparently said that at the meeting. Then if you look at the Blue Mesa page of the army Corps of Engineers, the outflow is exceeding the inflows. Blue Mesa, and Navajo aren’t releasing more, they are just not recouping and water this year. So, it will put all three reservoirs around 60%.
