A distinct layer though where one is clear and cold and the upper warmer and they never mix? I think I read that it’s not traditional like basins type stagnant lakes because of the current of the river. I’m asking, I really don’t know if that’s trueLake powell most certainly has a thermocline, the depth of it just depends on the time of year.
Some of my friends I used to dive with were into diving basin type lakes and described above the thermocline to be murky and warm but once they descended through it got much colder and clear.
But a thermal turnover could explain the video
