Trolling Tips

It definitely depends on what you’re trolling. Umbrella rigs I troll 1.8 to 2 mph. Rapalas I troll 2.5 to 3 in all lakes. Just depends on what I’m fishing for. I’d never gone 4.5 Before I talked to PFD.

Yep anything like this- Norman DD22, Bomber Fat Free Shad, and XPS Deep Divers (though they don't make these anymore I think) work well too, and we tend to run about 100' off the back with 12-17# mono to achieve the depth we need. Wally Divers have been successful too, but they tend to need the slower end of the 3-5 mph range as they can't stay down at higher speeds.

When you're into the wind, sometimes the throttle needs a little bump to keep it in the zone Good luck!
