That makes sense. Sometimes I troll slower in the winter and faster in the summer. When looking for striper schools you may see deep schools and make a mark on your graph or toss out the old fashioned floating marker. If you see a shallow suspended school continue to troll past it. If no fish hit then return to that spot and drop spoons if the school can be relocated. It is a game of hide and seek when spooning for moving schools. But now you know the reward when you are parked over the fish and they begin to cooperate. Spooning is addictive when you find a big cooperative school and put lots in fish in the boat in a short time. The reward increases with the fat fish that are swimming lakewide.
