Mono is much more versatile and much easier to work with. Until I’m in a situation where I’m out fished by someone with flouro, I will always find it the most overrated thing in fishing.

I totally agree when you're talking about the mainline. This was specifically just about leader material.

Mono is much more forgiving and handles so much better than fluoro. For a given diameter, mono is stronger than fluoro, so you can go up in line strength, and the knot strength is also better. At Powell you always have to re-tie and go through a lot of line, regardless of whether you are fishing mono or fluoro. IMHO the only real advantage of fluoro is that it has the same refractive index as water....But Walleye have notoriously bad vision

Just to clarify, I was only talking about leader material. I don't ever use Flouro for my main line.
