Blue Notch is still open, Farley Canyon is barricaded until the 22nd.

Regarding the boats launching, we saw at least 3 good sized boats (17 footers I would guess) with 70-90 hp outboards that were towed in on Blue Notch. They are braver than I or possibly I am smarter 
I was fearful of running into another vehicle on the steep switchback sections, I could only image how puckered I would be towing a boat in there!!!
Forgot to say we also caught a few crappie, and bluegill as well as the other species. Everyone I talked to said they only caught one or two stripers or did not catch any at all. Another thing that was unusual was that the water was still pretty clear when we arrived on May 7. We usually go in April, and the water has never been as clear as it was on this trip, although it did rise noticeably and was getting a good stain when we left yesterday....
