I just read the "Lake Powell recreation water advisory article".
I recently spent my 64th vacation on Lake Powell. Our boat was moored on a beautiful beach at the very end of Moqui canyon. There was "lovely" wildlife all around us, namely ducks!!!!!! We literally swam in water surrounded by ducks. Well, I got the worst swimmer's itch. I realize that swimming in waters where ducks hang out, is truly not a good idea. The water is not clean and can cause a bad rash, which takes weeks to heal.
Learned a lesson!!!
