Summer or Fall Trip Better?

I can’t speak for the south end but up north I think there is better striper fishing in July. Yes lots of downside with the heat, but I’ve seen many more boils in summer than fall.

If you are staying in Page there is no way I’d try to fish up north. Way too much time spent in the boat. Do the North trip in the fall and shoreline camp.

I like fall better because.
1. Can't get away from work in the summer.
2. Less heat / better temps.
3. Crowds are gone.
4. Some epic striper fishing is to be had. I've seen some great boils into November.

Sorry, I don't get on much in the summer months....barely have time to think. But yes, I remember. I think y'all gave my boys a home made spinner bait or two. I think it had to be closer to 5 years ago, because we have since bought a newer boat and the boys are growing and much better at catching fish! Hope to bump into you again. Not sure if I will make it to the lake this fall. We have a 5 week road trip we are doing with the family in Sept and Oct so it's doubtful I get down again, but we will for sure be ready to hit the lake in the spring for a couple weeks!
