stripers for bait?

I just cut one into strips about 3/4" wide by 2" long, leaving the skin on and as said above it will last quite a while leaving more pieces for chum.
 
When I fillet our strippers there is always a 1' strip of belly meat and skin left. I just cut it free and then cut it into several shad shaped pieces and throw them in a zip loc bag and put them on ice. They last all day, and don't stink like them dang chobies!

that's a great idea to shape them like a shad. I love ww.
