Launching three abreast if drivers are diligent. Need to be careful with shallow water on south side. Some having problems pulling out in the rip rap at water’s edge.
Another edit. TWD trucks having serious problems getting through the rocks. One trailer tore a tire, fortunately had jack and spare.

Things are getting interesting, seems like there’s a pretty consistent line even during weekdays. I don’t recall launch lines like this the last time we reached this elevation.

Here’s our challenge. Houseboat on a 36’ gooseneck. We do like the big boys and back down the ramp, rather than turn around at the bottom. So, how do we back down the middle of the ramp and not pi$$ off everyone in line as we pass them by?

We will be launching Thursday Sept 10 in the late afternoon. Hoping the cue will be short. Plan is to send a guy down to chat up each driver in line with the goal being to negotiate a “turn” in the cue. That way everyone knows and approves of the plan in advance. With a little communication it should work out OK.

The way the big boys have been doing it is they put a small truck in line to hold the place of the big rig towing the trailer.

Most seasoned boaters should understand the predicament that you are in and gangway, that's what I would do in that situation.

I plan on launching our houseboat on the 17th. After many months of emails and phone calls, we were able to get a buoy contract signed.😆
 
FYI. Launched today on Sat at 10AM. No line.
Rivergoer,, I owe u. Thx for the storage. Hope to meet up w/ u. We will be returning to marina Fri from uplake somewhere beyond all these crowds. Busy on lake this weekend. Give me a call and let me know where u wind out Thurs or Fri. I'll try and find u.

Our trip isn’t this coming Thursday. We actually launch Thursday Sept 10, late afternoon. So, unless you’re planning a 3 week trip we’ll miss you this time around🙃

Beware of crocs, save some shad and looking forward to a post-trip report😎

Ah, just realized that you're coming in Sept--not this coming week. DOH! Will probably be nicer in September anyway.
