Our final day at Stanton creek, the fish were definitely more active on Friday we even nailed a striper fishing off a point with a purple curly tail, we also picked up another walleye. Thanks to everyone who helped us prepare for this trip, by your experiences and posts! We already can’t wait to come back!

We mostly used pumpkin Gitzits, we did catch one walleye and a couple smallmouth on a Wally diver.
Thank you so much for providing this great fishing information to so many people that are wondering how to prepare for a the long trip to Lake Powell. Its a great trip each time, but it turns out even better when some fish are caught to add to the memories. Well Done!

Paydirt06, is that your camp up on the hill behind you in the first pic? If so, we may have seen you guys or even talk to some of your group last weekend.

No it’s not, we stayed at the hotel in bullfrog.
We fished Staton Friday through Sunday, and caught many fish near that camp in the picture. We caught the largest fish (3.5 lb. LM) of the trip, right where their boat was parked.

I’m glad you guys had a good time!
