Spoons for Striper fishing

Do you guys camp this early or do the lodge thing? I was thinking of coming down at end of March to BF. Thanks!
I start camping in late Feb. Sometimes the mornings are a bit chilly. I usually fill up the coffee maker so it's ready to go in the morning and all I have to do is start the gen. One morning it finished pretty quickly and when I investigated I found that the water in the reservoir had almost all frozen but for a bit in the center. Must have been in the 20's that night. Normally it's above freezing that time of year.

Is the fishing better in the south or north lake early March for stripers. I heading to page this weekend to hopefully by a boat (26 ft 1974 tollycraft) not a great fishing boat but the boat I always wanted. Then I want to store it a bullfrog. So, fish south or north next week?
Any tips will be great

I saw a reference on a spoon post where you could get lead spoons with a bend in them. I can't find it again. Anyone out there that can tell me where to go to order the bent spoons?

While I was taking pictures I went ahead and took these too.

Here are the 2 oz slabs....

And here are the 1.5 oz (I did replace the hooks on the split line slabs with my go to red 2x strong saltwater hooks, but did not need to do the split rings as they were OK. I like the little spinner idea...can't wait to try these guys out.

He does these in 1, 1.5, and 2 oz.

Here is a link to the split line slabs

Here is the silver ghost

The link to the bent spoons is in my previous post.

Some do come in 3 oz......

Fishing results in cold water (now) is much slower than when the water starts to warm up in mid March. However, the target is the same in the northern or southern lake. Find stripers on the graph and drop spoons. They will usually respond positively. The fat fish are a bit haughty and have ignored spoons on occasion.

Check out the early fish report posted yesterday:

Last time out we found stripers shallow and caught as many trolling as spooning. Make sure to take the whole arsenal with you. Troll to find them and then cast or spoon to catch them.
