South End Main Channel Stripers

Just getting ready for my annual April trip to put some stripers in the freezer. Any prediction on striper activity at the dam or other main channel locations. Thanks.

I should get a report back from some friends that are headed out today to fish the canyon walls with bait. I am excited to get that report as well.

Any word from those that tried the channel with bait? We have some kids in town to take out the first week of April.

I’ll be there this weekend with my wife Amy. We’ll probably go down to the dam and give it a try with anchovies. I’ll post on Wayne’s Words our success or failure.

Thanks Chris, we have some family in town that have never been to Powell and I'm hoping with the warm forecast I can put their kids on some easier ones to get them hooked!

The weather forecast this weekend is insanely beautiful... 75-76 degrees! Hopefully that’ll warm the shallower water way up and stimulate feeding!

Any word from those that tried the channel with bait? We have some kids in town to take out the first week of April.

Bait fishing in the channel today was OK in the afternoon but non existent in the morning. As stated in the last report warming is the key to fishing right now. Those fishing at the Wahweap fish dock also caught stripers. New report will come out tomorrow morning.
