Which leads us to yet another question.....at 3525, the level they have sworn to keep (don't see how) how much 'space' will be between the marina and the far shore line? and at 3490?

Since the Gustaveson state line ramp could end up being the only launching access to our lake.....methinks they're gonna have to move some docks, and the 'breakwater' to allow traffic by....that's a lot a stuff to move....

Thoughts?

Why didn’t they just decide that the level they didn’t want to go below was say…. 3600? In Preston’s perfect world we would start at the bottom of the Colorado river reservoirs, make all the outflows less than the inflows and fill the reservoirs to a certain point, then just manage them at or near those levels. Easy peezy, or however that saying goes. Something something about food and crops or whatever… lol.

It took me a solid hour to get from Antelope point to the stateline ramp last Friday. There might be 200 yds of no wake zone once you enter the canyon to the docks at state line. They are going to have to do traffic control at AP, this spring. I am not sure if you could get through if one of those big houseboats like “Big Dog” are pulling in or out.
Then they are going to need to lay down a lot of degraded granite at the ramp. They are dumping a lot of crushed rock to start build up the foundation for the ramp extension. There was a semi stuck trying to retrieve a houseboat because it angled off of the steel mats. That mud is deep at the end of the ramp.
I was also thinking about what a great time it is going to be when we are in the middle of a wind storm and forty boats are trying to get in at once on a one lane ramp.

I was wondering the same thing about those big houseboats. Especially with all of those cables in the water by Antelope Point. I sure hope they get something figured out for bullfrog. I’d rather stay home than deal with mess that the south end will be when it gets warm.

The folks who come in on their float planes avoid all that.....
