You can easily get snow pack for the Powell drainage by clicking on the water database link on WW home page.
Today is 124% of normal. Big accumulations in the Rockies forecast for this week, so a good start to the snow season.

The problem is the map we all used is not currently active - has nothing to do with the Water Data Site - it is an issue at the usbr - I wrote to them and they wrote back the email I posted above.. many of us liked this map and want it back.

I'm happy to include whichever link(s) you'd like in the "Useful Info" section once this is sorted out. Just let me know.

Upper Green River Basin in Wyoming now 181% of average, with one more warm, wet storm on the way. This is getting ridiculous!

Oh my.......... by all means spend money on a train to nowhere rather than maintaining important water structure in the state. Remember CA has a history of disastrous dam failures over the years when we have big water years........ the worst being the collapse of the St. Francis Dam, the Baldwin Hills Dam disaster.

If y'all want a great webpage to follow (at least for along the wasatch front) for current weather / snow reports, then this one is excellent. He is an avid skier and reports with that perspective rather than a typical weatherman who typically complains about snowy, wet weather. If you are an avid skier, or snowmobiler this one is a must, but also if just following trends and snowpack percentages he is quite thorough. Check it out. www.wasatchsnowforecast.com

Love all the snowpack and can't wait to see how much the lake comes up. Problem is, when ever the lake get a good runoff year, there is always some group or "restore the beaches" or "save the endangered frog" projects that seem to get it passed to drain 20' of the lake within a week. I personally hate the fact that as soon as it looks like Hite may be launchable again, the water gets drained and in a hurry.
Maybe this year there will be so much runoff that they can't let that much water loose. haha
