Snowpack spike?

Does anyone have a good explanation for the one day snowpack spike? Is it just related to a freeze-thaw cycle increasing the water volume in the measurable snow?

I suspect it’s a glitch or late reporting from the storm last weekend.

no idea, but i am glad to see the possible return of some storms coming this next week. not sure they will get far enough inland to make a difference to the CO snow pack, but i certainly hope so!
