Smoke and haze in Page/Wahweap?

Anyone know what's causing the smoke and haze in the sky. Got to Page last night and it was really bad. Not as bad today because the wind direction changed, but hope it goes away. Assume its a forest fire, but...

I read an article about a controlled burn at Jacob Lake. It might be related to that if the wind is blowing toward Page.

I think the wind is always blowing towards Page ,especially when I go fishing. Seriously though, prevailing winds are usually from the west thus Jacob Lake is a good bet.

Man you get around. The Paria overlook? Are you talking about the dirt road that puts you above Lonely Dell ranch? Or the road at the Paria Plateau where the Condors are released or somewhere I don't know about. That's Gods country!
