Wordings I’m doing my monthly check to see if the SJ is safe, and I have to report that crocs have been sighted.

There are other weird going-ons on the SJ as well. Carp are hitting Ned rigs. 20+ years of fishing we’ve never caught a carp. 2 this morning. 1 was 13 lbs, and 28 inches, the other was 6.6 lbs and 14’. Did catch a really nice WalleyeIMG_0980.jpegIMG_1343.jpegIMG_1340.jpegIMG_0992.jpeg

Is the croc for real or are u jus messin' with us?

Gunna be spending a few das i hope in there next week.

How's the water quality back in there?

Last year, about the same week, the whole back SJ arm boiled for hours. Mostly juveniles

I’ve heard from an unreliable source that you can purchase a “Croc Stamp” for your Utah fishing license for $79.95. Of course you have to deliver said harvested crock to “UDNR” for inspection and a tag will be attached to the hide. The croc must be harvested by "Noodling" Sq

You forgot, Dear Sir, to mention that if your crock has ANY mussels YOU will be fined....as the crock has has no cash, credit cards, or assets for our loving...... kind...... caring...... govt to seize......

😜

I can’t speak to Ryan’s photo, but my photo is not doctored!

Fishing has been slow, not non-existent, but slower than years past. We saw boils are first day (Sunday) and nothing since. We haven’t ventured past Wilson’s yet this trip, water is a light green and we’ve seen some algae, though not as much as we saw in July.

It’s getting increasingly hard to find a houseboat spot. We prefer tying to rocks over sand, and while there are lots of rocks most -laces we are finding are not protected from the wind, which we’ve had plenty of.
