We stayed and launched out of Bullfrog. We had a crew of 6 in our tri-toon and one of our employees and his 4 boys in another pontoon to divide and conquer. The first day was very slow. We went a little up lake to Forgotten Canyon, didn't mark or see any activity. Caught a couple trolling in Crystal Springs Canyon. The next day we marked the fish where Bullfrog comes into the main canyon and it was on. Spoons were the go to. Caught them on the drop (thanks Dungee for the heads up on this), the jig, the reel and even dead stick at times. The heavy action times were from sunrise to 10 a.m., then around 4 p.m. to sunset. We did not see any boils at all the entire trip but didn't venture far from the honey hole after we found it. We averaged around 80 stripers a day. The fish seemed healthy as we only caught a handful that were skinny. We were able to meet Littlesaltwash on Friday which was awesome. Dworwood was a huge help pre-trip on the spoons and getting some information on launching. The WW community is great and it makes our trips there with the fam more successful so thank you to everyone and especially Wayne on all he has done/does. It's hard to break away from waterfowl season but now is a great time to hit rinse and repeat to help save the shad. We are stocked up for fish tacos for the foreseeable future.
Awesome we were fishing next to you guys! Quite a great time out there with everybody catching fish!
