RV Launching Vessel Allowed?

I have very mixed emotions on this. I’m glad you were able to launch/retrieve without issue. But the other side of me assumes that they put the restrictions in place (size of tow vehicle size of boat, no solo launching, etc) for a reason - to allow for longer term use for everyone. If that isn’t the case, they need to drop those restrictions. If it is the case, they need to enforce it.
 
@HALLETTSEAN well done, especially after seeing the size of the turnaround area.

Curious, with your combined length…did you use the designated turnaround area or did you turnaround at the bottom of Wahweap concrete ramp and back down the dirt road leading to the current legacy ramp?

Are there restrictions on tow vehicle size?
I don't recall seeing that.

The way I read it, the 36’ length restriction is due to concerns of weight of the boat. If that is the case (and now I can’t find where I saw that), why wouldn’t the weight concern also apply to a similar size RV?

There is a stated restriction against solo launching.

Not trying to be the ramp police, but I assume the restrictions were put in place for a reason. If not, they should be removed.

You know the saying about assUme, right? I suspect that a dual wheeled RV has less ground pressure than a single wheeled houseboat trailer. If they were concerned with RV's launching(probably less than 1% of launches) they probably would have specified. The last time I launched at Halls, my semi nearly didn't have enough ground pressure to pull itself out due to mud on the ramp and not enough tongue weight.
 
I saw you retrieve that boat and was quite impressed. I took a picture for my son-in-law who has a new diesel rv and wondered if he could launch the Malibu Wakesetter on the Wahweap Auxiliary ramp with it. He was happy to have his question answered.
I did a retrieve from that ramp on Monday and had no problems. The person at the Auxiliary ramp said the ramp only goes out to the white buoy. Saw them working on the State Line ramp addition. Hope it gets done before Labor Day.

The solo launch restriction is in place to keep the traffic moving. There is no where to dock your boat close to the ramp while you remove your tow vehicle. I'll have to launch and retrieve after hours since I am going to be solo....
