Tale of two days on this trip -- on Sunday the 23rd we fished the Rincon / iceberg area water temp was 58 to 61 and crystal clear -- 25ft water visibility. 2 of us got about 70 fish almost all smallies. Found it best to work cliff walls with rocks 25ft below wall. Deeper was better. About even on double tails and ned rig.
Based on warming weather, was really looking forward to Good Hope on Monday. Lots of fishing boats in Good Hope. 1st thing I noticed was that boats were not sitting still for long. Lots of going from one place to another -- I found out why --- it was very tough fishing. No reason why. water temp was 60+ water was stained. Using same set ups from day before------should have been great --- fished from 9 to 1 and brought 4 to the boat. Fished multiple places in Good Hope -- by restrooms, both sides, gravel, rocks..... -- fished the canyon down stream, spent some time at the back of cedar------ talked to several others -- they said same thing -- fishing turned off -- Hope others did much better.
All in all great weather, and hope to get back down in the next few weeks
