About 5 years ago a long time buddy of mine bought a tricked out Hobie paddle kayak to live his lifelong dream of paddling down the headwaters of the Mississippi River, close to where he grew up. Hoping to go for about 3 weeks. He’s always been a workout nut and paddled on his local lake in Texas to get ready. Well, after 3 days he got back spasms and had to give up. I immediately sent him the link to this thread. He was about 72.

Wow, that last picture of Lake Powell glassy water and kayak on the shore is serenity! Thanks for sharing. As they say... always look for the helpers, ie getting the kayak back on the 4runner roof!

A great way to finish the trip was a visit to Antelope ridge adventure park, a via Ferrara just outside page.
A trully life changing experience, the guides Angie and Blake a amazing!!
