Looking for a little help. I have a 21’ sea ray I will be pulling behind a houseboat. What size rope do you all recommend? Thanks for the help.

I’ve been using this 1/2” x 200’ Twisted Strand Nylon Rope for years with great success. Pulled everything from 3-person PWCs (two on a single rope) to a 25’ Nordic closed bow boat (approx. 3800 lbs) through some pretty rough seas.

Bought a pair, they also serve as houseboat anchor/mooring lines. After drying, they are stored in blue 5 gal Lowe’s buckets to prevent tangling.

Whatever option you choose, I highly recommend using a floating tow line. The floating option takes away one worry when having to stop the boat for a minute while under tow knowing that the tow line likely is not going to foul your props as the wind blows you sideways.
