Possible Trip to Rainbow Bridge next year

Would be the north I believe. All the writers online say take the north without a doubt.
I did the south route a few days after Christmas 2004 or 5 via Rainbow Lodge Ruins through Yabut Pass and Redbud Pass. It was spectacular and very cold. I posted on this site (the older version) with all of the details. We were dropped of at the trailhead by Paria Outfitters and rode the tour boat back. Search this site and you will find some great tips.

Tour boat was running in December?
I made sure we pre-paid and explained to them that we NEEDED to be picked up! I remember it was a bit late and I was getting worried. There were several tourists on the tour boat that looked at us like we were crazy when they exited to hike to the bridge. The tour boat had coffee, which was very welcome. The captain stayed behind and enjoyed listening to our tale. We spent the last night at Echo Camp and had a lot of alone time to explore the canyon. I found the original route to the top of the bridge (although I did not go up it) and the Wetherill 1909 inscription.

These pictures of Echo Camp and Wetherill are from a more recent trip when I took some Trash Trackers up there. Although I did sleep on a bedspring during the hiking trip. The commode was also in better shape 15 years ago!

I have read about the bed springs, and that people do still use them. Thought that was kinda cool. Makes you wander about my mattress that can't last five years.
