Porpoises

I saw Porpoises in 2015 up the escalante after the silver king mine disaster and contamination in the san juan…anyone spotted any lately it would be glorious to be able to see them again next month!!

If he does mean otters, they are endemic to the lake now. I’ve seen them essentially everywhere, especially in the slot canyons around Oak Bay, but also as low as Last Chance and West. Also a beaver population, but not as common to see them. Sneaky compared to the otters.

Not easy to get that good a photo of the very rare Lake Powell albino porpoise...... Even Stan Jones couldn't do that.....
