I took it as Peek-A-Boo based on @WaterMan ’s earlier tongue-in-cheek post…”I see you”Hello. Is this arch not Peek-A-Boo Arch just downstream of Deep Canyon, opposite side, San Juan river? It was
in a thread featured here in August this year titled as something like, "where to get the best overview?"
Me too!Very well. I reckon I need to expand my knowledge of popular cultural phrases!
O
Oh, don’t get me crossed! I go to lake Powell at least once a year from Wyoming. These pictures just ooze “check it out guys. We have nothing but time and this is what we’re doing this week!”
YOU BET! I share the exact same thoughtsI’m in your court for sure. When I retire, if there is still a lake! I plan to be there as often as my better half will accommodate. Now I just need to figure out how to retire sooner. And in the same breath, I am a firm believer in traveling and finding adventure as much and as often as possible. Hence the “no guarantees” comment.
The arch name is Peek -A -Boo at the end of The San Juan Arm. Its a 30 minute hike to get to the Arch but really neat once you arrive. Here is what it looks like from the inside.

Love this hike! Very spectacular looking out of the arch. Hopefully in the next few years to come it will be better accessible when water level comes up. 2021 when we checked it out it was a water swim and scramble to get to the start!video of the arch
I don't know about the 30 minute part, but it is a great hike with a great view. The floor on the inside has quite the slant to the cliff area. I could only talk myself into walking out part of the way.The arch name is Peek -A -Boo at the end of The San Juan Arm. Its a 30 minute hike to get to the Arch but really neat once you arrive.
