Don't understand how you were able to get a local access permit when you obviously had your boat stored in Scottsdale according to your own words.
"We left Scottsdale at 5:30 and got to page pulling the boat in 4 hours, so we made good time. We were also fortunate to check into the Hampton Inn early so we didn't have to leave all our valuables in the truck while we went out. "(n)

we made it up in four hours because we were -not- pulling the boat. It’s been at Antelope the past three years. I have an iPad that fudges my typing becuase I use my thumbs. sorry for the confusion, I know this whole closure has a lot of people on edge.

Chris, I sincerely apologize. I hope you will accept my apology, I will also delete the post.
I've been pretty spun up over this issue, having cancelled 4 trips so far this year that were all scheduled before they locked us out. That's not an excuse though and I shouldn't have jumped so quickly.

Again, I apologize

Take care, perhaps I'll see you on the lake someday if you ever wander up north. .

I wholeheartedly accept your apology and understand. No worries my friend. NPS needs to get this sorted out soon or people are going to start taking matters into their own hands ! :-0

Just cancelled another week since it doesn't look like they are going to open it up today!

Arizona is "Stay at Home" until May 15th. I wouldn't make any firm LP plans until after the 15th. Just a gut feeling. I cancelled my LP storage unit in February. Upgraded my truck so I figured I'll tow my boat the extra few miles. I Totally Screwed up 😭

Aramark has put May 8th as the open date for boat rentals although it does say tentative. I suspect that will be the date that Stateline ramp opens. Stateline ramp is in Utah.

It might be possible that Aramark boat Rentals open May 8th but General boat launching is still closed. Boat rentals may be considered "Local". Just speculating......

That would be a huge problem for the Aramark houseboat rentals. Most people bring their boats for day use while renting the houseboat. If they can't launch their boat they'll cancel the trip. Just got a feeling Utah is gonna make it happen. DNR and all. I'm hopeful.

I Love your optimism! Glass half-full kind of person! I REALLY REALLY hope your right. My concern is that if AZ has a stay at home order until May 15th then the state may poo-poo the idea of allowing large groups on houseboats which are typically multi-family gatherings. I'm just trying to read between the lines. Then again, never underestimate the power of a monopoly like Aramark!

A full boat rental operation including launching private vessels can be accomplished without being in Az.. Now being on the road....that's a different story. We'll see. I've already been wrong about the opening, I thought May 1st..oops. I have to have optimism, 8 fishermen are boarding a rental houseboat with 4 fishing boats on May 12th and I'm one of them.. leaning towards San Juan. We will risk all of the known dangers, zombies, alligators, red sand giraffes, huge snakes, etc. and the unknown dangers...the big V. Just let us in..By the way we're taking drums, 2 guitars,a bass guitar and our harps. look out bluesville, here we come. Anybody know how to play the sax?

The sad part is they won't make it happen for us, they'll make it happen because of Aramark and Lake Powell Resorts. THey have much greater clout than Joe Public!
