Spent spring break with my grandparents at the lake many years ago. Fishing along in front of Bullfrog and my grandfather spotted an outboard sitting on the bottom of the lake. The water was always super clear that time of year. He used his fish weight scale to rig up a hook, and after many attempts he finally fished up the 5 hp outboard from the bottom of the lake. A couple of small fish came out of the engine when we opened up the cover (only fish we caught that day). He took it home, cleaned it up, dried it out and worked on it for a few weeks. Pulled the cord and the damn thing ran like a clock. He was thrilled. That was the day I learned that my grandfather could fix just about anything. Good memory.

Anyone know if the lake canyon rockfall victim in 2007 I think was ever recovered? If. not I wonder if it is low enough now…
I thought I read somewhere that his body floated up to a beach in Oak Canyon a few years ago

Those future geologists will also be fascinated with the vast number of quagga mussel shells. I wonder what the remains of Stanton's dredge would look like of it ever gets exposed.

It looks like a mid-sixty's 16'-to-17'-foot boat. Might be a glasspar, but need a closer look. Interesting that we have old ruins
to ponder and we are adding to future discoveries, although unintended.

Love LP

So we're adding 'new' fiberglass ruins..... ;)

Everywhere humanity goes we leave our mark/ trash.....guess all civilizations do.

Maybe not too 'civil'.....:)

Some folks think there's even an old broken car on the moon......

Sometimes the only difference between trash/graffiti and historical artifacts... is a few hundred years!
SO TRUE, WyoRado........
There was a great parody a few years back of archeologists in the future digging through our trash.....
One fellow was wearing a toilet seat around his neck proclaiming it to be a 'sacred religious object' that we 20th century primitives wore in some bizarre ritual......

....guess they found my iPhone, too......
but in truth that pic was only after stealing Dangling Dooley's Sutter Home white zin....
:ROFLMAO:
