I plan to go fishing soon but have not been out for two weeks. Water temperature this morning was 56 degrees which is cool but still above the normal winter time temperatures which range from 46-53 F.

The lake continues to decline but it is still holding at 3586.84. That means the Castle Rock Cut is still passable, holding about 6 feet of water in the short cut. Be careful when taking the short cut as some rocks may have worked there way down the sides and may be a hazard when crossing over the Cut. The cut should be usable for 2 more weeks. Go Slow and be careful when crossing.

I expect stripers and bass to still be active this week. Expect stripers to be in the back third of the canyon from 30 to 90 feet of water. Bait works best in the south lake, while trolling and spooning is best in the north lake. Look for a fresh report toward the end of this week.
