You done a great job on your boat, I thought it was one of those $80,000 dollar pontoon boat's. Which model Glastron, and which motor is in it?
Has any one ever told you you look like the guy in the movie Hangover :)

Thanks for the complements on the boat. I bought it in rough shape with 120 hrs for 9k and a hog. I raise hogs, meat rabbits and chicken eggs. I have about 15000 in it now. It has a Volvo Penta with Carb inboard/ outboard motor with 225 Actual hp. The model is a 2003 sx 205. They only made it a year or two and changed the model to dx 205. The brand new ones are 60k minimum and have the second windshield. It’s a fiberglass deck boat. Runs like a ski boat seating like a toon. With a little work it became a great fishing boat.

Yes i have been told that once or twice. I’m usually told I look like robert Redford in Jeremiah Johnson. You must not be over 50 years old. Personally I think I’m better looking than all them lol.

I see you have a Bigfoot too!

Is it the 25C9.6?

View attachment 9045

Mine is 2006 Bigfoot 25c 10.6
Looks like yours is same as mine? We primarily use it to chase powder in the winter and ski. The dually is the ranch truck in the summer.

Yep same camper even same year. Only difference is yours is a long bed and mine is a short bed. And you have a dry shower and I unfortunately have a wet shower....PIA.

Nice rig though.

We use it for fishing.

Here is the whole rig I drive to Powell.

awesome setup. What does your boat weigh and what extension are you using. I’m thinking of setting mine up the same way. My boat is about 4000 lbs.

I replaced the class 4 hitch with a class 5 hitch (even though it is a 350 - apparently they only put them on the crew cabs in 2012, you probably have a class 5 hitch already) and I added a class 5 extension. Here is the one I have - it is a 24 or 36" extension that would work for your boat.

My boat is also 4000 pounds. And I experimented with different size drops on the hitch to get the trailer level. But I cheat a bit...I have installed Rancho 9000xl adjustable shocks all the way around and wireless air bags to also keep the rear from "sagging". I did a lot of messing around on the CAT scales at Loves to get the weight distributed correctly. As I had this same setup on the previous truck, a Chevy 2500 but was over my rear axle weight hence why I went to the 350.

Nice Guido very nice !!!!
Thanks Kevin!

Added a tie bar and troll master to the kicker and it makes it a dream to troll with. Also went to the ultrex to save my back and upgraded the electronics to an HDS Touch front and dash - 7" front and 9" on the rear.

There is a really good crappie lake here in AZ that is only known to fisherman and is 40 miles from the nearest town, so no skiers etc.
2-2.5 pounders are average, catch the odd 3 pounder. Best day was 40 something fish between the wife and I, and lost count of the trip total.

If I ever buy another boat, it will be a Crestliner they are solid. Sound's like it is set up perfect for any and all fishing.

Man that sound's like a great Crappie lake, I'm still after that rare 3 lber in Powell. When's the last time you were there?

getting ready to head down not farmiliar with sweat canyon i see mm 132 is between 2 and 4 mile canyons were you trolling the main channel between the 2 or is there a small off chute in there wouldnt mind having a few of those walleyes

I'm enjoying your camper/boat pictures sitting here in New Mexico with no Powell trips yet this year...:(
That is a really nice boat, Poisonspyder!

Here is our Camper / Boat rig for the Lake Powell runs. Our boat is 4700 lbs., both boat and trailer, 500 pound tongue weight. We use an 18" 2"x2" solid fabricated extension in a class 5 hitch receiver, like Guido. Its has worked well. We just got a new (to us) F350, so are rigging it up and will be looking at a 2.5" hitch extension, like you use Guido.

Thanks for the pictures and information, all of you! We are living vicariously through you all, till we can get back up to the Lake...
been an...interesting...year!

Powell last fall (usually 2nd or 3rd week of October) The crappie lake it was this February.

I usually target striper and smallies at powell, but do try to search for walleye and crappie, but they are hard to find in the south.

Wow Barz nice setup, but maybe think about the airbags, makes a world of difference on the handling. And congrats on the new truck you will like it....tons of torque in the newer ones.

And like you we have not been either this year.

my lowrance showed it as sweat canyon but looking on the map it is two mile. Go to the mouth of two mile and troll in it and in the main channel up to 30ft of water. I only caught one in deeper water without my downriggers. Both north and south of two mile produced fish. I could see that canyon everywhere I trolled. Staying in 20 to 25 ft was best. It’s been hot and getting hotter so I look for the walleye to go deeper soon if not already. Don’t forget the worm and the front hook only as the rear hook on the crank baits make it do some crazy stuff and will not track straight.

I took a picture with some scribbles on the map and this was the spot.

Very nice setup and thanks for the compliments. We do not use air bags on our 2019 dual wheel. I found the suspension on it to be more than enough. If towing the boat squats it more I will add upper tork lift blocks. I have a dually tho. The Older truck had to have the bags.

I will have to use the 34” for my setup. Does yours need the 24 or 34”? I am at max weight without a wd hitch on the 34” extension. Just wondering if you had issues with sway or need side chains for lateral support? I have a 3” receiver so I’ll have to reduce it down to 2.5”. Tork lift has a 3” but the rating is only 3500 lbs compared to 4500 with curt or Reese?

Awesome knowledge you have of the fish and lake. Thanks for the info and I’m sorry I should of weighed that one. Heck I didn’t even know what it was. I guess this is the almost had a record year for us. I just yesterday landed this monster of a pike and didn’t get it certified. Not sure on weight as it was over my 36 lb scale. It was right about 4 ft or so. I don’t carry a measuring device that long. Dang thug broke my net too. Caught in a 4” double tale grub. Green pumpkin of course. State record in Navajo and NM is 48”.
Isn't the state record in NM 36 pounds?
