As much as I love Powell, an elk tag takes top priority around here. Best of luck whatever you decide.Awesome report and pictures as always! Did you guys see many ducks or geese up there? I’m trying to decide if I should go elk hunting this weekend or go blast and cast up north.
Amazing how much we try to raven proof the camp/boat. Every time we go out fishing they are hopping around on the tables before the boat even starts. Smart, Or habituated? Probably a little bit of both. Last time we were down at Stanton Creek we put our striper scraps on a rock and watched all the turkey vultures fight over them. It was quite a show.My vote would be to thin out those thieving, crapping, obnoxious ravens!
I think you guys are right. Elk it is. Thanks for the info Dungee! As much as I love Powell, an elk tag takes top priority around here. Best of luck whatever you decide.
It's been 6yrs since I've drawn in AZ.
I thought the same thing on that Walleye. Don't see many like that out of Powell. That first picture......wow. What a Walleye. Looks like some awesome memories.
Great report. Some of the photos seem to show water that is quite clear. Others seem to show more murky water. Can you share more about that and how/whether it correlated with fishing success?
