Yes, Cal is a good guy. I mount my ice fishing bundled Livescope on the Cisco and it works well. Of course rod holders as well. I don’t have a down rigger so can’t comment on that.WOW, that is really sweet! And my favorite color too. Agree, on the track system. I have Traxstech and Cisco on mine. I like them so far but need more time on the water to really know if I they work for me. Did you buy your boat from Cal at XPM?
14.6 x 18P RHTroutster, what prop are you running? My boat is over propped with the Rev 4 19p.
That’s the same prop I have. I’m only getting 4700 rpm out of it at wot on Scolfield. Mercury says the max rpm range for that motor is 5800-6000.14.6 x 18P RH
I have no idea what my rpm is at wot. It comes out of the hole great. Top speed at FG was 47. Top speed at Powell was 43, more gear and 4 people. I’ll have to pay attention to rpm and see where it is.That’s the same prop I have. I’m only getting 4700 rpm out of it at wot on Scolfield. Mercury says the max rpm range for that motor is 5800-6000.
One more thing I learned about your/my boat. At the Bullfrog boat ramp my boat would not start. I pulled it off the trailer and over to the shore while I tried to get it running. It would crank for about 1 second then stop and it wouldn’t crank every time I turned the key. I was totally stumped and frustrated. I messed with it for 20 minutes . It was 10:00 am Friday, I called the dealership and Cal answered. I explained what was happening and he said, hmmm? Sounds like the kill switch.Yep, I must have bumped it loading all of the camping gear into the boat. Flipped the switch and she fired right up. I felt pretty stupid. There you go, lesson learned from someone else’s goof. Good luck!
Mountain man elevation at scofield will affect your RPMs significantly due to altitude and thinner airThat’s the same prop I have. I’m only getting 4700 rpm out of it at wot on Scolfield. Mercury says the max rpm range for that motor is 5800-6000.
47 mph is more what I expected, since Cal told me Vexus props the boat for the store elevation which is 4500 feet. That should be fairly accurate. I would think it would be closer to max rpm at wot if they already did the calculations.I have no idea what my rpm is at wot. It comes out of the hole great. Top speed at FG was 47. Have fun at Powell, just got back last night. Fishing was good, days were hotter than I expected. Had to jump in to keep cool.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I’ll know the difference after this weekend. I’ll report back after this weekend with the results.Mountain man elevation at scofield will affect your RPMs significantly due to altitude and thinner air
My boat runs pretty good at strawberry but slower and lower RPMS THAN AT POWELL
BY 3-400??
I could get different prop for altitude but it’s sufficiently good to use for my applications!
Merc 150 pro XS on my new boat I’m running 18 inch pitch stainless.
I bet you will be good at Powell.
We drove 10 hours from Pinedale one Spring and the boat wouldn’t start! Brief panic ensued…Same thing, I never have purposely turned off that switch, so I didn’t think to look at it. once it happens to you, that is the first thing you check if your boat doesn’t fire right up!One more thing I learned about your/my boat. Our local lakes are around 7500 feet. I can barely get 5000-5200 RPM, and that is with a fairly light load. I can easily achieve. 5800 RPM at Lake Powell. That is with a 19 inch stainless four blade prop.Mountain man elevation at scofield will affect your RPMs significantly due to altitude and thinner air
