Multiple Dust Devils destroyed our camp.

So, we had a great trip to Powell 6/12-6/20 but on two of those days we had NW winds and apparently our little cove we picked for shade just outside of Indian Canyon in the Escalante Arm was the perfect place to generate dust devil after dust devil. Nothing damaged to bad, yes we lost an awning and the tent poles on our friends camp were broken but no one was hurt. We ended up cleaning sand out of the boats both days and when I got mine home, it was a 3-hour job trying to get rid of the sand. But honestly do boats from Powell ever get rid of all the sand? I highly doubt it! Take a watch. Don't mind my wife screaming, she gets excited pretty easily!

That looks like pretty standard Powell microburst winds. The dog didn't seem to mind though.

I've been in a lot of crazy wind storms in my 50 years of going to Powell, but this was crazy in that we had somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-35 dust devils hit our camp. This is just the few we captured on video. It was unlike anything I've ever experienced. It was one after another for two hours.
