Motion Sickness?

Where are you going out of in Alaska? We're going salmon fishing at Kenai in late July. We have a 12 hour charter planned for halibut, lingcod, rockfish, salmon, and whatever is biting out of Homer.
I forgot about the ginger, I take ginger chews with me in case. I've only taken one once when my stomach started getting a little funky, and it cleared up right away.
I go on two day albacore trips out of Westport, Washington every year. You don't want to get sick on one of those trips.

You need to watch the horizon line as you are leaving port for at least a couple of hours. Then anytime you start feeling queasy get back out on deck and focus back on the horizon line. Once your inner ears settle in you will be fine. It should only take a couple of hours. I have five deployments on a flat bottom boat. Watching the horizon line is the only thing that I have seen that consistently works. It works for my wife as well when I have taken her out on three day tuna boats. Post pics please.
Good advice.
