Minimum launch capability at Stateline?

The water database shows the minimum launch level for Stateline at 3519/3520. Can anyone confirm that this is correct? This is the level we hit in April 2023.
The info for Bullfrog North ramp is inaccurate. You can launch there on boiler plate extensions down to 3519.5. Or at least you could in April 2023.
Thanks

The levels posted on the water database come from NPS and reflect the official numbers. What is actually possible is up to you.
I guess I am looking for "unofficial numbers". :p I realize it is whatever you feel safe doing and how gutsy/skilled/stupid you are........ Just looking for someone that launched back in April or early May 2023 and can verify how actual conditions were at 3520ish. Thanks!

Feb 7, 2023 - Elevation 3522.7 - Stateline Aux Ramp

We launched and retrieved our 36’ houseboat on the steel boiler plate with no issues. We had to mind the gaps between the plates, basically stay in the ‘lane’ so as not to fall off the side of the plate into the gap. But it was plenty wide so not a biggie.

For 2026, I anticipate NPS will follow the same process as the lake recedes again…push out more plates as needed. When we were there in January there were a couple of boiler plates stacked to the side near the bottom of the ramp.IMG_5513.jpeg

This is perfect! Thank you for the info!

Hopefully if it gets that low the “proposed” low water temporary ramp near Stanton “could” come into play???
I HOPE so too. But for that to be ready by mid July they had better start cutting new road to Stanton right away. That road is not in any kind of shape to get hundreds of trucks/boats down it daily. If they delay getting on this issue, it will be too late for this summer/fall season. Fingers crossed we see some progress in that direction.

The road down to Stanton, between the Hwy and the pay station washed out last year in a flash flood. Amazingly the park service had the road fixed (usable) within about 24 hrs. Some campers down there were caught like a rat before they could get out. I boated along the shore warning people about the road. That’s not the first time I’ve seen this happen. Sq

It’s happened many times!

There would be no water at the bullfrog north ramp at 3490.
Ya, at 3520 the water in the NW corner of the slips is only about 6 feet deep and there is only about 30 feet between the slips and the west shore. That is why they had to move O dock in 2022-2023. Shortly after that, all the slips will need to get moved to deeper water. Moving them is no big deal. But there will be no power or water in the slips. It also likely compromises the gas dock and septic pump out dock. They can move those as well but without the lines to get gas there or poop out of there, they are worthless. I suspect at 3490 there will just be mud where the slips are now. Can you image the metal detector treasure hunting that can happen when that area dries up? We are heading into some interesting times for sure.

Imagine that you've travelled many many many miles on a "no moon" night to launch your boat on beautiful Lake Powell, only to discover that you're advised to not do it. Standing on the launch ramp you look at the lake, your pulse rate rises, you analyze yourself: How gutsy/skilled/stupid am I (thanks Bigcatpt) and you say F*** It, I'm going.
