You financed a depreciating asset? Whatwereyouthinking....
He was probably thinking that paying 4% interest makes a whole lot more sense than using his own money that is easily earning 3-5 times that if invested.

Probably also thinking that boats really aren’t depreciating right now. Case in point I could sell my 2014 Malibu with 700+ hours on it for right at what I bought it for new.

And most importantly he’s probably thinking that it’s his money, and he can spend it any way he wants, and not have to worry about what anyone else thinks.

But that’s just my guess……

Cool boat! Good life choice I figure there are only so many good days left- use them wisely Not in front of the TV
You might look into those "suspension" Capts seats that ease the jolts from wakes.
I know one guy who kept his HB tied up in the same location on the lake all season and helicoptered to it when he was in town !
We too got out of the RV world this year for the same reasons AND we sold our 3 yr old TT for more than we paid for it!!!!
As the card game says- GO FISH

Good guess ;-)

Chris, the seat idea is nice, I have spent way too much time going through maytag straights in the early 2000's before they dug out the cut in a Stratos 21' fish and ski and in the current 19' Crestliner Deep V aluminum boat that I now have.

Which BTW is exactly why I bought it, because like you I have had severe back problems for many years and all the pounding aggravates it terribly.

And I was about to get suspension seats when they finally did the cut so I put them on hold...well I am pulling the trigger on the Smooth Moves boat seat supports today. I am installing them and trying them out on the next trip and will let you know if it helps.

There are a couple of others (Shockwave and Prowave) but they are more expensive. I called and spoke to the owner as I had questions and he was very helpful and nice (a breath of fresh air),
