I know what you mean, my old buddy's, that I started fishing Powell with are gone. And my Trout fishing buddy is 89, and don't want to go that far. But like you, I'm still gettin after them. I've been 3 trip's so far, and lake Powell is still my favorite lake. Don't seem to matter what level the lake is, it's awesome fishing. Good luck when you go.
