Haven’t hit this part of the lake for years, and we can down by the Rincon. There are some good beaches down there and probably the best one was occupied by beach bags that didn’t have a houseboat ever show up . . .

We caught good numbers of smallies and a few largies on Ned rigs, jerk baits, whopper plopper (in the mornings). Fishing wasn’t super hot but we got into them. As @Edward Gerdemann reported we had a hard time finding much of any size. The best fish was a 2 1/4 lb largemouth and prob a 15” smallmouth and 1 walleye that went 18”. Besides that most of the stuff was small. It’s weird because a couple years ago it seemed like size on the smb was really good. @PowellBride we got a handful of green sunfish

Did some spearfishing and got a bunch of carp and a few stripers and panfish. Water temp at the surface was 72 degrees and visibility was 10-20’. Had the chance to see bluegills on their beds and largemouth guarding clouds of fry and smallmouth guarding schools of watermelon seed size baby bass. Those were in 6-10’ of water. Crappie and panfish and small smallmouth were not far from those nurseries. Probably picking off strays. Pretty cool to see the ecosystem.

We didn’t shoot smb because of a seasonal spawn closure but always wonder why the state won’t let spearos harvest them when they are trying to get numbers down and the limit is 20.

We had no prob launching and getting decon for AIS at Bullfrog.
