Low water discoveries, Aug 22

On impromptu Guys Trip this weekend we cruised quite a few canyons up to Reflection. With the exception of a pack of 7 day cruisers that darted by us when we were parked for lunch in Relection, we pretty much had the lake to ourselves. Canyons taller, alcoves we used to park in are up on the walls, new interesting caves and and a never seen arch in Cathedral Canyon. Caught enough stripers and walleyes to feed us Saturday night, hamburger came home in the in the ice chest. Only about a half dozen rigs lined up for retrieval Sunday noon.

Nice! I'm going to have to check that out on my Sept houseboat trip. Was that sunburn as painful as it looks?

We ribbed the fair headed captain pretty hard about his sunny complexion. Comes by it naturally, always wears a sunshirt, not a burn. He purchased his first LP cruiser from yours truly 25 years ago.

I don't think there were any nooks in Anasazi to drop an anchor for the night. It “slotted out” so no sand or sloped beach to anchor or bow in. Now, I said “I don’t recall.” I’ll check with the skipper, he pays attention at the helm while the fathers lean back with a view to the stern.
